Group Hits a
Home Run at Pac Bell Park

(August 2003) San
Francisco,
CA --
A services sales group from Cisco Systems held a successful event at Pacific
Bell baseball park over the weekend. The meeting was a major hit with the
sales team, despite a number of obstacles that occurred behind the scenes.
The event, scheduled months in advance, called for presentations to be
delivered atop the Giants dugout, utilizing the stadium jumbo screens to
display Powerpoint presentations. The elaborate scheme however, had to be
scrapped at the last moment, when a schedule change brought a Bruce
Springsteen concert to the park on the same day. With over two hundred sales people
in town from around the globe, the group needed to quickly come up with an
alternative plan.
Familiar with the service and expertise of Creative Video Services, event
planners from Cisco and Pac Bell Park partnered with CVS to salvage the day.
Utilizing a large lounge area under the park, CVS brought in a stage,
backdrop, microphones and large projection equipment to facilitate the
meeting. Presentations went off without a hitch for the entire group. Smaller
breakout sessions were then hosted by department heads in 11 of the park's
luxury skyboxes, with CVS providing audio/video support for those meetings.
In addition to their full on-site services, Creative Video
Services also video taped the event to be re-deployed as e-learning sessions
on Cisco's internal video servers. Those who were unable to addend the event
live were able to log on and view presentations, complete with slides.
Attendees were also able to use the web version to bring home the
presentations to their team members around the globe. The event culminated with a catered lunch and a tour of the ballpark.
